The Globe, Whitehaven
Listed Building in Whitehaven Town Centre Conservation Area with a prominent position in the town’s grid plan and street frontage along three sides. Converted from a former hotel to provide eleven apartments. Originally several separate buildings dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, amalgamated to create a hotel in the mid-19th century. Conversion works undertaken whilst ground level shops and restaurants continued to operate. The project attracted grant assistance due to its heritage and conservation significance. This project was carried out under a
partnering agreement formed between the client, contractor and consultant team.Client: Two Castles Housing Association
