Architects

Our staff includes RIBA Chartered Architects, all of whom are registered with the Architects Registration Board as required by the Architects Act 1997.

We provide services from feasibility studies through to planning approval, building regulation approval and practical completion of the construction process.

We operate high-end IT equipment which enables us to deliver drawings, visualisations, presentation material and graphics to a high standard for large format colour printing or transfer to CD or DVD. We are equipped to produce realistic walk-through & fly-through animation, photomontage and composite images, through to traditional watercolour perspectives and freehand line drawings.

We are able to provide Sustainable and Environmental Advice including Low Carbon Building Studies.

 

Building and Quantity Surveyors

Our staff includes three RICS Chartered Surveyors, including a two Building Surveyors (one of whom is a Director), and a Quantity Surveyor (Associate).  Our practice also includes a graduate Building Surveyor.

We provide services in respect of the following:

CDM Coordinators

Day Cummins Limited is an APS Registered Practice and has two Registered CDM Coordinators in-house. We are able to provide essential advice to all our Clients with regard to current CDM Regulations & Health & Safety in general.

We are able to provide a full CDM Coordinator service including:

• Advice to Clients on the discharge of their CDM duties
• Competency checks of Designers and Contractors
• Project Notification to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) where appropriate
• Development of the Project Information Resource and collection / production of the Pre Construction Information
• Assistance with co-ordination of design work and cooperation between CDM duty holders
• Production of the Health & Safety File using information provided by CDM duty holders

 

SAP Assessor

We have an accredited SAP assessor who can provide Energy Performance Certification and SAP assessments

 

Code for Sustainable Homes

We offer a "Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor" service to cover new build schemes in England and have an in-house BRE Licensed Assessor.

We also provide "Eco Homes Assessor" services and have an in-house BRE Licensed Assessor.

Eco Homes is still the assessment scheme for all refurbishment and alteration projects and for all new housing schemes in Scotland.

Day Cummins Ltd is a Licensed Code for Sustainable Homes Organisation and a Licensed Eco Homes Organisation.
